Innovix Distribution, formerly known as JOS Distribution, is embarking on a mission for more local small-medium enterprises (SMEs) to embrace the latest technologies to unlock greater productivity and operational efficiencies.

“Technology is a powerful business enabler and, in today’s globalized economy where there’s ample business opportunities, local SMEs should aim to realize technology as a powerful business enabler,” Innovix Distributions’ General Manager Chuah Kee Heng told Business Circle over breakfast recently.

“We are aiming for SMEs to create opportunities and drive growth by embracing new technologies and developing new capabilities,” said Chuah. “Toward this end, we are able to draw on a unique set of strengths in technology distribution in Asia by combining unrivalled technical and marketing expertise with a comprehensive range of proven and innovative technologies.”

Innovix Distribution is a member of the Jardine Matheson Group, a diversified business group focused principally on Asia. Incorporated in Bermuda, Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited has a premium listing on the London Stock Exchange, with secondary listings in Bermuda and Singapore.

“As a company, we continue to transform people, processes and products to adapt to evolving technologies and a changing business landscape,” Chuah further said.

Innovix Distribution also recently joined the SAP PartnerEdge Channel Program to distribute SAP Business One, an integrated solution designed specifically to meet the needs of small and growing businesses as well as subsidiaries of large enterprises.

Certified GST-compliant

Certified GST-compliant according to Malaysia’s new GST regulations, the affordable and easy-to-implement business management solution gives managers on-demand access to critical real-time information through one single system containing financial, customer relationship management, manufacturing and management control capabilities.

“This is a good example of how we have worked diligently to forge a mutually beneficial partnership aimed at helping the domestic SME community maximise business value,” Chuah said.

“Our goal is to be the technology distributor of choice in Asia. The reach Innovix Distribution can provide enables our technology vendors to enjoy access to one of Asia’s largest networks of resellers and retail partners. Leveraging the available SAP solutions, we can help our customers’ customers utilise SME-specific solutions that can drive competitive advantages,” Chuah added.

The partnership enables Malaysian SMEs to access key offerings – not only SAP Business One but also SAP Business One version for SAP HANA software. Powered by SAP’s in-memory computing platform, SAP HANA can help clients to monitor application performance and analyse massive volumes of data in real time. This provides unprecedented innovations and simplifications for customers. The predictive analytic capabilities of SAP Business One version for SAP HANA also empower SMEs to optimise business planning and decision making, while at the same time providing real-time insight into consumer behaviour.

“SAP believes that Malaysian SMEs will reap the benefits of this partnership through adopting locally-compliant and industry-proven technology and services suitable for their current expansion and growth needs to help unlock their full potential,” said Roy Wakim, Head, SAP Business One, SAP South East Asia.

SAP Malaysia Managing Director Bernard Chiang also described the partnership as a milestone for Malaysia’s SME community. “In any market, there is always the danger of facing company legacy, and costly and disparate systems. SAP’s partnership with Innovix Distribution will help to eliminate such inhibitors through our varied spectrum of offerings and bring maximum benefit to SMEs in Malaysia. It is not only a sign of our commitment to the country, but to our valued partners as well,” said Chiang.

Chiang continued, “The key to this partnership is to deliver value at maximum convenience to customers. By opening additional channels to the customer, we are able to support them as closely as possible.”
